Short interest

The FCA net-short register joined to the issuer register — the published aggregate per issuer, honest about the 13 Jul 2026 counting-rule change on every figure.

The FCA publishes who is betting against a listed company: to 13 Jul 2026 as named individual positions at or above 0.5% (whose per-issuer sum is a censored undercount), and from 13 Jul 2026 as an anonymised aggregate of everything at or above 0.2%. The two counting rules are not comparable, so no figure on this surface — and no change, sparkline segment or feed event anywhere in the app — is ever computed across that seam; each value names its basis instead. Aggregates only: holder identities are a separately licensed dimension and are not published here.

Current figures are on the spanning basis. From 13 Jul 2026 the FCA publishes an anonymised ≥0.2% aggregate; earlier figures sum only the ≥0.5% individually-disclosed positions and undercount the true short interest — a step across that line may be a counting-rule change, not a real move.

Coverage gap: Crystal did not retain the 13 Jul 2026 ANSP commencement snapshot. The lane starts with the first later FCA files retained on 2026-07-17; no missing commencement point has been reconstructed.
